Located near the Park Shopping Center, the Parkersburg campus is easily accessible from OH-7 (Belpre) US 50/WV-68, and I-77. The campus resides in an area that is poised for economic growth, enabling our graduates to explore career opportunities across many businesses.

American National University opened its Parkersburg campus in 2011. Since opening, the college has been helping working adults in the Mid-Ohio Valley area to achieve their education goals and is establishing a strong relationship with Wood County employers for its skilled graduates.

Debra Cunningham is an instructor at ANU's Parkersburg Campus. She is a certified business coach and consultant, providing strategic guidance for business owners and is the President and CEO of Evergreen Business Strategies. Debbie holds a Master of Business Administration degree from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with concentration in marketing & advertising from Glenville State College. She has 17 years of experience in medical staff recruiting and served as Vice President of a hospital, supporting a family medicine residency program. She organized and established two different Physician Hospital Organizations and was Executive Director of each. Her expertise includes medical staff credentialing, physician practice management, financial turn-a-rounds, managed care contracting, provider network development, provider network credentialing including NCQA and URAC standards, JCAHO and AOA compliance, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA and Corporate compliance.

Gary DeMattia - Instructor

Gary DeMattia has worked in the technology field for 10 years and is presently the Director of IT for a local emerging church. Gary has a Bachelor of Science degree in information technology from Ohio Valley University and is A+ certified. He teaches database technology, wireless network administration, and other technical courses at the ANU Parkersburg Campus.

William Duliere - Instructor

William Duliere has been working in the IT field for more than 20 years as a system programmer and IT security consultant. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Waynesburg College and is also a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and a Project Management Professional (PMP). William currently teaches in the cybersecurity program at the Parkersburg Campus.

Deborah Holder - Instructor

Deborah Holder worked in the mental health field for several years before beginning her teaching career. She has taught English composition, literature, developmental reading, and college skills. Deb has taught in the traditional college classroom for 15 years and has been teaching online for several colleges for over 10 years. She is also a professional copywriter, author, and editor. Deb has written more than 1,000 articles, blogs, and e-books for businesses in the United States and Canada, serving as a ghost writer for many top marketers. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts/psychology and a Master of Arts degree in English/creative writing, both from Marshall University. She is currently an instructor at the ANU Parkersburg Campus.

Deborah Kleeh - Director of Health Information Management

Deborah Kleeh is the Director of the Health Information Management program at the Parkersburg Campus. She received her bachelor's degree in human resource management from Wheeling Jesuit University and holds an Associate of Science degree in health information technology and an Associate of Arts degree, both from West Virginia Northern Community College. She is also a Registered Health Information Technician. Deborah worked in the HIM field at an area hospital for over 35 years.

Leah Lane is the Director of Health Care Education at ANU's Parkersburg Campus. After graduating from Gordon College of Nursing with an associate degree in nursing, she actively practiced nursing in the state of Georgia as a Registerd Nurse for 17 years. She previously served as the Medical Compliance Administrator at Albany Advocacy Resource Center in Albany, Georgia.

Deidre Michael - Instructor

Deidre Michael has worked in the health information management field for more than 25 years, specializing in coding/billing, and is presently a coding consultant for a company based Boston. Deidre received her bachelor's degree in Health Care Services from University of Phoenix and her associate degree in Health Information from Hocking College. She is a Registered Health Information Technician and a Certified Coder and Auditor. She teaches medical coding and health information management courses at the Parkersburg Campus.

Dody Waggoner - Instructor

Dody Waggoner has been an instructor for over 15 years and has taught a variety of courses. She also has experience as a small business owner. Dody holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, a Master of Arts degree in liberal learning, and a graduate certificate in American history. She is an instructor at the ANU Parkersburg Campus.

Get directions to American National Unviersity's Parkersburg, WV Campus

From the northwest (Belpre, OH): Take OH-7 across the Memorial Bridge into Parkersburg, then turn left at Murdoch Avenue. Make a left at Park Shopping Center and American National University will be on the right.

From the southwest (Blennerhasset/Lubeck WV): Follow US 50/WV-68 toward Nemesis Park. At the US 50/WV-68 split, stay on WV-68 (County Route 9) into Parkersburg. Turn left at Old US 50 (8th Street), continuing on to Murdoch Avenue. After approximately 1-¼ miles turn left at Park Shopping Center. American National University will be on the right.

From I-77: Take Exit 179 (Emerson Avenue Exit) towards Parkersburg. Follow Emerson Avenue to Murdoch Avenue and turn right (next to Verizon wireless) . Make a left onto Park Shopping Center Drive and follow to American National University on the right.
