Directions to the Danville VA location:
American National University Danville, VA has been placed on student achievement show-cause by their accreditor, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), because of material noncompliance with retention standards, having reported a 44% on the 2017 Campus Accountability Report.
From Martinsville: Take 58E into Danville. 58E becomes Riverside Drive. Take the first left after Westover Drive (by McDonald's) onto Old Riverside Drive. Turn left into National's driveway.
From South Boston: Take 58W into Danville. 58W becomes Riverside Drive. Continue straight until McDonald's (on the right); make a right at the stoplight onto Old Riverside Drive. Turn left into National's driveway.
From Chatham: Take 29S Business into Danville. 29S becomes Piney Forest Road. Exit onto 58W (also known as Riverside Drive). At the second stoplight (in front of McDonald's) turn right. Turn left into National's driveway.
From Yanceyville, NC: Take 86 north towards Danville. Stay on 86 through Danville. Exit onto 58W. Once on 58 (a.k.a. Riverside Drive) go to the second stoplight (in front of McDonald's) and turn right. Turn left into National's driveway.
From Pelham, NC: Take 29N towards South Boston; take the 86N exit. Turn left at the end of the exit, traveling towards Danville. Stay on 86 through Danville. Exit onto 58W. Once on 58 (a.k.a. Riverside Drive) go to the second stoplight (in front of McDonald's) and turn right. Turn left into National's driveway.

Director of Surgical Technology
AAS, RCST II
Jennifer Allen serves as Director of Surgical Technology for the Danville, Virginia Campus. She previously worked as a surgical technologist for Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Jennifer has an associate degree in Surgical Technology and holds her Certification in Surgical Technology.
MS, MBA, BBS, AAS
Angela Andrepont has over twenty years of professional experience in business and education, in areas including teaching, mentoring, grant writing, information technology, staff development, office management, bookkeeping, and accounting. She received her Master of Science degree in Education Leadership from Radford University, her Master of Business Administration degree from Averett University, her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Averett University, and her Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Management from Danville Community College. Angela is an instructor of information technology and general education courses at the Danville, VA Campus.
Dorothy Blackwell has worked in the medical field for over 10 years, most recently at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Dorothy received her associate's degree in medical assisting from ANU and is certified through the (AAMA) American Association for Medical Assistants. Dorothy also received an associate's degree in business administration from Piedmont Community College. She is a health care instructor at ANU's Danville, VA Campus.

James Devins has been employed in the field of education and technology for over 45 years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Teacher Education from Virginia State University, his Master of Arts degree in Continuing Education from Howard University, and his Master of Science degree in Technology Management from the University of Maryland's University College. He is currently an instructor in the Danville, Virginia Public School System. In addition, he has been an instructor at the ANU Danville, Virginia Campus for 5 years and currently teaches spreadsheet and database technology in the Information Technology Department.
Department Chair - Business Management
Byron Rawlinson has been an instructor at the Danville, VA Campus since 2007 and currently serves as chair of the business department. He teaches a variety of subjects in the general education and medical assisting curriculum. Byron's professional career includes over 15 years of managerial experience in operations and marketing research in the manufacturing, transportation, and financial industries. For the past 10 years, he has owned and operated a small business that provides health and personal care services for the geriatric population. Byron received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.

Ronald Williams has served in a variety of positions in the financial Service industry, including stock broker assistant, account executive, and a full service insurance agent. He received his bachelor's degree in Marketing from Howard University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Southeastern University. He is an instructor at the Danville, Virginia Campus.
Benjamin Wright received a Master of Divinity degree from Wake Forest University after completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and Broadcast Communications at Elon University. He holds a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University and has a diverse work history in the non-profit sector focusing on homelessness. He teaches Humanities courses for the Danville, VA Campus.
