American National University Ready to Assist Harrison & Brightwood College Students

Sep 17, 2018

Roanoke, Va. – Students affected by the recently announced closure of Harrison and certain Brightwood College campuses have the opportunity to transfer to American National University, with terms beginning October 8 and November 11, 2018.

"Our admissions and financial aid counselors are ready and waiting to assist Harrison & Brightwood College students in continuing their education with the least amount of disruption," said ANU president Frank Longaker. "As we have in the past with the closure of institutions such as ITT Tech, we know this can be a traumatic experience for students."

Harrison & Brightwood College students transferring to ANU will be eligible to apply for exclusive ANU grants worth up to $1,860 per term, in addition to other institutional, federal, or state aid they may be eligible for.

ANU offers programs in healthcare, business, and information through an exclusive array of technologies and services.  Through Global Learn, students can attend live, interactive classes from anywhere with an internet connection, as well as online courses they can complete on their own schedule.  Individualized financial aid, admissions, and student services counseling are available through Global Meet, providing the opportunity for live assistance through video, chat, or email.  Through our innovative Global Texts program, students never pay for required textbooks again, and advanced tools such as e-books, electronic learning resources, and the ANU Library are accessible 24/7.

American National University operates learning sites in South Bend, Ind., and Dayton, Ohio, in addition to other locations across six middle Atlantic states.  Accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission, ANU was founded in 1886.
